The body has an incredible capacity to heal itself when given the proper 'nutritional tools'. The universe of herbal and natural remedies is so immense that every one can benefit from it and enhance his or her well-being. We invite you to learn more about specific conditions that can affect your quality of life, or the lives of your loved ones. Discover more about how certain natural supplements can not only benefit your health but your wallet too!Oxidative stress and poor eating habits can contribute to nutritional deficiencies and lead to numerous health disorders. Unfortunately, modern life involves many stressors and we live in an environment that is becoming increasingly polluted. These factors cause a negative impact on the health of the immune system and the body in general. As you may know, a strong immune system guards the body from many diseases and if it is weakened, the body becomes more vulnerable to periodic sickness, disease and, in many cases, chronic illnesses. Certain GOOD QUALITY natural supplements have been proven to be useful to many people suffering with various health conditions. GOOD QUALITY supplements contain researched ingredients and are of pharmaceutical grade. Let's take a look at some natural supplements and what they may be able to do for you along with a little known exercise that works wonders.Have you been feeling like the absent-minded professor lately? Here are some memory-improving strategies to keep your brain sharp.Think About Giving The Natural Supplement, Ginkgo, An Opportunity To Help You. Ginkgo, the oldest surviving species of tree, has been traced back 300 million years and is one of the most widely studied plants. The leaf of the ginkgo tree is shaped like a human brain, and some believe this is why it has always had a reputation of benefiting the mental processes. A dwindling memory and decreased concentration is largely caused by decreased blood flow to the brain and loss of brain cells; ginkgo has been confirmed to boost circulation to the brain and other organs, improving memory and cognitive functions. Additionally, ginkgo is used far and wide as a longevity tonic in Asia and Europe. The best-known and most commonly available form of ginkgo is as teas and herbal extracts, but ginkgo nut, used in the culinary traditions of Asian cultures, also has therapeutic properties and is also said to strengthen lung function. And Did You Know That Mental Gymnastics Keep Your Mind Nimble? It is normal to become more absent-minded as we age, and in fact, most people over the age of 40 experience some memory loss. The most likely causes of a forgetful memory include poor concentration due to brain-chemical imbalance, tiredness, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. If you find you are more forgetful than usual, try these steps and see if there isn't some improvement in your cognitive clarity:1.Get an uninterrupted eight hours of sleep each night.2.Do a half an hour of cardiovascular exercise every day, such as brisk walking, slow jogging, biking, or swimming. This will improve weight loss, circulation and increase blood flow to the brain.3.Mental fitness activities are imperative to prevent age-related cognitive decline. Read and learn new things, find new hobbies, do crossword puzzles, add up your bill in your head while shopping, memorize a set of phone numbers forward and backwards; all these can stimulate brain cell activities and in some cases even grow new brain pathways.4.Work with your physician to find a supplemental regimen that helps improve your cognitive capabilities. Memory-enhancing supplements and herbs include B-complex vitamins, magnesium, CoQ10, alpha-lipoic acid, fish oil, flax seed oil, Chinese club moss, ginkgo, and ginseng. A supplement that has been well-documented in Europe for reversing age-related dementia and memory loss is phosphatidylserine (PS), a compound made by the body from the amino acid serine. Taken in supplement form, PS lowers stress response and promotes the release of neurotransmitters in the brain that facilitate thought, reasoning, and concentration. Now for that “little known” and VERY IMPORTANT exercise: Lay on your back with your head hanging, over the edge of the bed, with the top of your head directed toward the floor. Stay in that position, counting to 30 “VERY” SLOWLY. Now turn over on your stomach and let your head hang over the edge of the bed, with the top of your head directed toward the floor. Stay in that position, counting to 30 “VERY” SLOWLY. Now roll over to one side, let your head hang over the edge of the bed with the top of your head directed toward the floor. Stay in that position, counting to 30 “VERY” SLOWLY. Now roll over to your other side and repeat. Next sit up, on the edge of the bed, knees apart, bend over, hanging your head down between your knees, with the top of your head directed toward the floor. Again, stay in that position, counting to 30 'VERY' SLOWLY. End of exercise. Do this exercise AT LEAST once a day and if possible, even THREE times a day. This exercise will allow increased blood to flow to the brain and give the brain the exercise it “used” to get when we were children and stood on our head? Remember how “bright” and “sharp” we used to be?Do you suffer from chronic inner ear infections or have any other type of inner ear challenges? Another amazing thing that this exercise does is break up the 'crystals' that often forms in the inner ear. There are people that have gone to the doctor for “years” with various re-occurring inner ear problems. Once they began doing this exercise those problems simply disappeared . . . permanently! This exercise WORKS! This author knows! I was one of those people!
