Health Farms - Are they just for celebrities or for normal people too?
- By:Mia Johansson
It seems every other magazine you look in seems to have photos of celebrities at various UK Health Farms. Some tend to go to health farms for a relaxing break, maybe they have been working too hard and partying too hard and are in need of some de-tox, relaxation and pampering. For some health farms offer the perfect sanctuary for a hen doo. Arrive in the morning around 9am and enjoy body massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, lunch plus use of leisure facilities which usually comprise of swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Most recently Jordan a.k.a Katie Price enjoyed her hen doo at one of the country`s top health farms in Hampshire. It was reported that they had a fantastic day with the private hire of the dining room when during the evening they had a sumptuous 5 course dinner, plenty to drink and some entertainment.
So it is true that many celebrities spend time unwinding at uk health farms, it could be said that they can afford it but health farms do not have to be that expensive. Health Farms for celebrities would usually consist of the very best personalised service, this is know in the industry as premier service where guests enjoy a little more privacy and exclusivity all of this at a premium. But for the regular health farm visitor it does not have to be this expensive and in fact health farms can be very good value for money and with in your budget.
Health Farms will offer a selection of breaks including, Spa Days, one night spa breaks, two night spa breaks and so on. Health Farms can offer some excellent packages for a week or longer if you are looking for a real transformation. An average stay at Health Farms is probably a 2 night midweek or weekend stay. An example of this would be arrival Friday 2pm and departure 4pm Sunday. The package would include all meals, use of leisure and can take part in exercise classes, anything up to 20 per day, and 3 body treatments like massage, facial and manicure. The price of this package would typically be around £300 per person all in. So you can see health farms do not have to be that expensive.
So you have decided that you like the service that health farms offer, but then its the daunting task of find out which are your nearest health farms? Which are the best health farms? and more importantly which health farms are going to cater for your every need. Health Farms by definition are very different and do vary in cost. Take our advice and do your home work before any money changes hands. The most respected unbiased central reservations and advice service for health farms is www.spaseekers.com they have been established since 1989 and their professional advisors will have a chat with you to get a real feel for your requirements and budget and make recommendations accordingly.
It is also worth remembering that some hotels actually market themselves as health farms or health spas. The main differences between health farms and health spas is that health farms have a much higher staff to guest ratio, you can waltz around all day and even dine in your towel robe and slippers, there are no children at health farms, and there are no bars at health farms. Some Health Spas and mainly Hotel Spas do have bars, children, you would look strange eating in a towel robe too - with business men etc maybe having a business meeting.
To close health farms are not just for celebrities, in fact health farms have never been so popular and their service has never been so personalised and professional and moreover health farms have never offered their guests as much as they do today in terms of facilities, treatments and advice. Health Farms could survive on celebrities alone and their bread and butter is mr and mrs average and their prices will reflect this. So if you are looking in to that kick start in to fitness or just some well deserved relaxation and pampering then go on - treat yourself, you’re worth it aren’t you?
