"Smoking is injurious to health". This is the standard line which is found in each and every packet of cigarette. Still around 80 percent of the world's population is suffering from the problems of smoking. Smoking as such is not a big deal. The deal however becomes big when it takes away one's life and that too for no good. There are many people in the world today who are dying of cancer caused by smoking. People take the guard of accepting it as a habit which cannot be changed or left but they forget the fact that when the same thing takes away your life then nobody will be able to guard them against death. Smoking is harmful not only for the person who is smoking but also for the person who is with such a person who is a smoker.

Firstly you will have to make a decision that you want to quit smoking. Just think for five minutes what harm is smoking causing you health wise and also in your relations. Would you like to cause harm to your daughter or your son? Would you like to break relations with your wife just for the sake of smoking? Would you leave your family alone in this world with no support all because of this wrong habit? Asking these questions to yourself you will be able to introspect yourself as to what you really want. After you have made a decision you can take help of counselors to devise ways to Quit Smoking. Then slowly and gradually decrease the number of cigarettes that you smoke everyday. Once you start decreasing the numbers you will feel confident and one day you will achieve what you earlier though unachievable.
