How schizophrenia affects the life of the patient

A complete cure has yet to be found in the case of schizophrenia. Still the best scientist are working to develop the best treatments and are actually making considerable progress in their fight against this terrible disease. Being a mental sickness it affects in many ways the life of the patient and the lives of the people next to him. The person suffering from schizophrenia suffers a lot because of its inability to properly act the human thought, emotion and of course expression.

A drop in the person’s IQ will most certainly indicate the fact that nerve cells are starting to degrade and that the nervous system is not functioning properly. Violence in schizophrenic people is actually very unlikely to happen. No more than in normal people. Because of their precarious state of health and mind they are more likely to withdraw from a confrontation. The sad fact about patients suffering from this disorder is that a large number of them will at some point attempt suicide. The even sadder part is that many of them succeed. Most of this actions happen after great psychological shock or after a depression.
Regarding suicide, it is the only domain where the usage of antipsychotic drugs have revealed no god results.
