A body treatment is essentially a basketful of treatments meant to relax and soothe your whole body. A Body Treatment is the answer for tired, overworked and weary bodies. Like our faces, our bodies need extra special care and treatment. Body Treatments can soften dehydrated skin and help eliminate unwanted toxins, leaving the body harmoniously well-balanced. Body treatments are usually performed in a special wet room with a shower. For the crucial body experience trained and skillful therapists perform the body treatments at day spas. The range of Body treatments hat are available at the different spas covers many different sets of services, some of them provide a range of services which cover exfoliation, body wraps, manicure pedicure etc. some provide only exfoliation and massage.
There are a number of choices available for you to select from. Usually the body treatment starts with the exfoliation treatment given to the skin since it is very important to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin on our body. Most popular body treatments used for the body treatment is, salt glow or sea-salt scrub. This exfoliating treatment takes place on a massage table covered with a sheet and a large, thin piece of plastic. As the client lies on their stomach, a mixture of sea salt, oil, and aromatics, like lemon, are applied to the body by a rubbing application, the process exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling smooth like silk.
There are three types of skin exfoliation treatments that are available and they are manual, chemical and enzyme. The whole body is scrubbed, which takes maybe ten or fifteen minutes, using one of the three available methods chosen by you. Variations are also available right from the essential oils or scrub materials: you may opt for an orange blossom/peppermint salt glow or a cucumber salt glow, or a body scrub done with coffee grounds, finely ground pecan shells or Napa Valley grape seeds. The client is allowed to shower it all off without soap, leaving a nice coating of oil. It's a revitalizing treatment and it is advisable to get your scrub before your massage if you are having both treatments.
After taking a shower the client returns to the treatment table again. Now is the perfect time to apply the massage treatment of your choice or if you want a body wrap treatment. There are different types of body wraps available to choose from.
Some of the available types are:
Body Contouring Wrap- This tightens and tones the skin and helps stimulate the body to rid itself of trapped toxins, excess fat and excessive trapped lymph fluids
Parafango Wrap- It is one of the best treatments to improve the skin's smooth appearance and hydrate the body.
Seaweed Infusion Wraps- It provides a remarkable degree of smoothing and softening effects on the skin.
Clay-Algae Detoxifying Wrap- This will help to eliminate impurities from the body and at the same time improves the appearance of cellulite in hard-to-lose areas.
Paraffin Wrap- Skin retains the amount of moisture longer by the application of this process. The warmth of the paraffin not only feels wonderful on the body, but it can temporarily help to relieve the body of minor aches and pains.
Herbal Wrap- This is one of the natural ways to soften skin and detoxify the body.
After the application of the body wrap treatment, skin becomes very soft and silky. It is then further nourished by the application of a sunless suntan treatment or application of some herbal and aromatic gels. After the body treatment your skin feels much younger and fresh and starts glowing with health, ready to take the stress and strain of everyday life once again.
